Hey Minna! Well, I'd like to thank everyone for their wonderful comments on my stories. It means a lot to me. I have some news that I need to tell everyone. I'm starting school on the thirty-first, and I have a pretty hard schedule. I may not get the chapters done in tiem for the weekly posting, but I'm going to try my hardest. It's going to be my first year of high school, so I'm not sure how much work I'm going to get done in study hall, but since I have two study halls, I'm very optimistic. Please bear with me. Well, as always, I'd like to thank Lady Guinevere. Her kind words and wonderful encouragement have meant a lot to me. Please go read her story. I'd also like to thank two other wonderful people. Bettina, who has stuck with me this entire time, and Sailor Backstreet. Please go read Sailor Backsreet's story, which is really good. I'm not really into the Backstreet Boys, but this is a great story. It really caught my attention. Also, I like her other story. So that's it, Guine, Bettina, and Sailor Backsreet. I'd like to dedicate this story to all three of them, for helping me out, even if it wasn't a whole lot for some of them. All standard disclaimers apply, and I'd like to add that I completely and totally own Kyle and Faye/Faith. Okay? Everyone clear on this? All right! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Find Faith- Chapter Four By Acacia Aben --------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter Four Faye jerked up, and gasped out, "Kyle!" Then she immediately felt her head swim around. Amy cried out, "Whoa, Faye, please stay down. You're not well. You need to rest." Faye was back on Raye's bed, with Amy only in the room. Amy smiled, as if just thinking about what Faye was going to think about where everyone was. "Serena was too upset to stay around here, Raye and Mina went with her. Lita's in the kitchen getting a cold cloth. You weren't breathing for a few seconds. It was pretty intense. We were all very scared that you weren't going to make it." Faye smiled, to show she'd understood. She was too tired to do anything else. "What's wrong with me, Amy?" Amy looked down. "It's very complicated, Faye. I don't know how to explain it to you." Faye was to worn out from speaking those few words to say anything else. She just pleaded with her eyes at Amy. Amy looked down at the paper she was carrying. "Look, Faye, the truth is I don't know how to tell this to you. I can't do it, I just can't." Faye kept her gaze steady, not breaking contact, not flinching. Amy smiled, very sadly. Almost as if she was seeing how things would have been. "I don't really know exactly how to explain it in terms you would understand. I'm trying my best, so please listen carefully. You shouldn't be here. Your place was back in the Silver Millennium. You were away from the battle, safe. You weren't to be here, it wasn't part of your mother's choice. You used the crystal for something it wasn't supposed to be used for. And it's draining your energy. "As far as I can tell, it hadn't started until the instant you met Serena, because that was the reason you came. To be with her. So since that was your wish, the crystal granted it, for as long as it could. Once you met her again, it was to much, and the crystal is sending you back." Faye stared at Amy, horrified. "How long do I have?" Amy looked away, unable to meet Faye's eyes. "You would have been gone already, but I managed to but the crystal's hold on you to a minimum. It put all the energy it had taken back, and it's going to be taking it in a more steady manner. I bought you four weeks, at the most." Faye smiled, a weak, sad, teary smile that wavered along the edges. "And at the least?" Amy looked down. "A matter of hours, maybe days. After that, hopefully, you'll wake up back in the Silver Millennium, restored and alive. But it might just kill you, I'm not quite sure. Not everything is calculable. I'm so sorry. No one else knows. I didn't have the heart to tell Serena, but I think she knows that it's bad." "And now I know." Faye looked behind Amy to see Lita, her eyes pained. She was holding a dripping washcloth, and from the puddle on the floor, she had been there for a while. Faye smiled weakly at Lita. She could feel herself getting stronger. "Hello, Lita. Nice to see you. I found out that actually, I'm a scout, like the rest of you." Lita smiled, but something was missing in her eyes, joy, real joy. "Really?" Faye smiled back. "Sure, just watch. In my day, I could even best you every once in a while." Lita laughed. "I doubt it." Faye got up, feeling all her strength returning. "Moon Eclipse Eternal Power!" She went through her transformation, and when she was done, her fuku was a beautiful violet blue. "What do you think? I'm Sailor Moon Eclipse, and I command light." Lita transformed, and smiled. "What can you do?" Faye grinned. "Come on outside, and see." She ran for the door, and Amy sat down in a chair that Mina had brought in earlier. She smiled wistfully. Faye really shouldn't be wearing herself out like that, but she needed it. In only a few weeks, Faye would be gone. Not even a body left. Amy hadn't mentioned that to Faye, but she knew that it would have been to much. Faye would have worried what her parents would think of her disappearance, and it would have just upset her more. Sailor Jupiter crossed her arms. "Well?" Sailor Moon Eclipse, or just Eclipse for short, smiled nervously. "This is my first time, you know. I'm just warning you. It won't hurt you, I think, because when I power up, blinders come down over your eyes. Foolproof system that my mother ordered done. But just to be careful, I'll use my weakest attack first." Jupiter raised her eyebrows. "I'm waiting." Eclipse glared mockingly at her for a second, then she focused her mind to remember that attacks from so long ago. Those she remembered, it was just that she couldn't make out Kyle's face anymore. It was blurry and unclear. She wondered exactly how their relationship had worked out so that they had gotten engaged. She visualized her attack, and she closed her eyes. She crossed her arms across her chest in an almost defensive stance, palms inward. Like she was blocking a punch close in. Beneath each of her palms she felt a heat begin to flare. Hot, blinding, white light. She opened her eyes, cold and focused in her attack. Her brows furrowed in concentration, and beads of sweat appeared on her neck. The light wasn't affecting her, because it was ingrained into her that bright lights that would blind normal people were dim and unimportant for her. But Jupiter was looking away, covering her eyes. Once the light was burning semi-brightly, she began to say her attack. "MOON." She turned her palms outward, pushing her arms forward slightly. "ECLIPSE." She uncrossed her arms, and blinders fell down over Jupiter's eyes, so she couldn't see the light, but a monitor in the blinders showed the power levels she was emitting. The light pulsed more. "LIGHT." She pushed her arms foreword, straight out. She had a ball of bright light in each hand. "SHINE!" The balls of light seemed to implode, rising out of her hands, shot up into the sky. Once up high in the air, they slammed into each other, creating a small scale explosion. No fire, and you most likely wouldn't be burned, but the light was incredibly bright. No person in the universe could look directly into it, and not sustain damages. Eclipse dropped her arms, smiling wide. "Hah! What do you think of THAT!" Jupiter's blinders came up off her face. Her cheeks were pink with excitement. "Wow. That was amazing. I couldn't look at it when it was at one fourth it's total power. You're sure that's your weakest attack?" Eclipse nodded. "If I'm remembering right, that one is for distracting them momentarily, and my other two are for more permanent damage. One for causing temporary blindness, and the other permanent. Even with your eyes closed." A sound of clapping came to the girls ears. Eclipse looked to see the rest of the scouts, standing there, applauding. Sailor Moon ran up to give Eclipse a hug. "Wow, that was good! Amy told us what you guys were doing." Then her face grew more cautious. "Amy said we had to ask you about earlier. So, what's going on?" Faye didn't answer. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out. She turned and looked helplessly at Lita, who swallowed hard. Faye detransformed to take up time. She quickly gave Serena a hug. Then she looked at her sister. She had been avoiding her gaze. Faye's shoulders fell. A knowledge, painful and hopeless filled her. She couldn't tell Serena. When it was time for her to go, then she would say something. But not before. Faye grinned. "I'm fine! It was just the shock of finding out I had a sister. For a minute, she thought it was something serious, but I'm just fine." Sailor Moon grinned back. She was obviously relieved. "That's great!" Sailor Jupiter and Amy looked at each other, unable to say anything, and unsure they even wanted to. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Harden jerked back. "What? That's impossible! It can't be right. No one has that power. It was dissipated a long time ago. No one has the power of light! It ruins the plan." "What are you talking about?" A calm female voice asked, as if amused by the man's distress. Harden turned to her. "Oh, don't start with me, Jade. I don't have time for this. Someone has the power of light." Jade frowned, her bright red hair, the color of flame, contrasting beautifully with her bright green eyes. "That's impossible. There has only been one person able to handle it, and she died a long time ago." Harden glared at her. "Well, watch this film. I've been monitoring the city with this power device, and a few minutes ago it recorded a flash of light. It was very strong. Too strong for my tastes." Jade pursed her lips. "Can we beat it, if necessary?" Harden frowned, "I don't know. We begin our attack tomorrow, so we had better be able to. I think, if we have full power, we could beat it, but not by much. And from the source, that seemed to be low power. It may have higher stores of energy. The good news is that after each time it uses its power, it will need a while to regain it's power. A miss, and it will take to long for it to recharge. Too long for it, great for us." Jade smiled, and winked at him. "Then why are you so worried? We should be fine. Only light energy can harm us, and if we can beat this source, then why worry? I'm going to get ready for tomorrow." She turned and left. Harden turned his attention back to the chart in front of him. His face creased with worry, he smiled wickedly. "Why worry? Because we should." --------------------------------------------------------------------- Faye got up slowly. Serena was still asleep, because Faye could hear her tossing and turning on the top bunk. She was murmuring quietly in her sleep, every once in a while muttering Darien's name. Faye got out of bed, climbing down slowly, as if not to wake Serena. She quickly got dressed, told Irene where she was going, and headed out. Faye didn't really know where she was going, but she had just blurted out Lita's name. Going to Lita's house just seemed natural. Once she got there, she knocked loudly on the door. "Come in. It's not locked!" Lita yelled. Faye opened the door and walked in. "Lita, it's me, Faye." She said her name because her voice sounded exactly like Serena's, and Lita probably couldn't tell them apart yet. Lita walked in, drying a dish. "Hey, what's up? I'm doing the dishes, in case you were wondering about this." She held up the dish in her hand. Faye nodded. "I guessed." She sat down on a chair, and shifted uncomfortably. "Serena's still asleep." Lita laughed. "She always is before noon. So, what do you want?" Faye shrugged, and looked around. "I was thinking maybe you want to go shopping? I need some new clothes." Lita smiled. "Sounds like fun." Then she looked away, and bit her lip. "About last night." She referred to Faye's lie to Serena. Faye looked down, then looked earnestly at Lita. "I'm glad you didn't tell her the truth. It was really nice of you." Lita frowned. "She's going to notice something is wrong eventually. I mean, in less than a month, you'll-" her voice choked, and her eyes watered. "I mean, you won't be here for more than a month more." Faye nodded. "I know. I just- I can't tell her yet. She'd just spend all the time worrying and crying. It would have hurt to much to see her like that. It would hurt her too much to tell her." Lita wiped at her eyes. "It would hurt her, or you? You don't even seem to have come to terms with it. Maybe you just want to spend all that time in denial." Faye's lips twisted, but she didn't respond to it. "Look, do you want to go shopping, or not?" Lita smiled. "Sure. Let's go." She went to her kitchen, and put back the dish. Faye and Lita went out the door. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Faye came out of the dressing room. "So?" she twirled around in her fancy dress, one meant for a huge party. "What do you think?" Lita thought for a moment. "I was wrong. You look much better in light violet than you do dark purple. Much better." Faye smiled. "Told you. Light violet is the way to go. Your dress looks great." Lita imitated Faye's twirl. "I know. Dark green for me." Faye's dress had a long skirt, reaching the floor. It was pretty low cut. White and sliver trim adorned the edges. Instead of the usual puffy sleeves, hers weren't puffy at all. They were loose, and wide at the edges. It looked good on her. Lita's dress was a lot like her dress on the Moon. It had the traditional puffy sleeves, and a long skirt. A design in the shape of an A adorned the bodice. It looked really good on her. Faye and Lita went back into the dressing room, and changed out of their dresses. Faye smiled. "That was fun. What should we do next?" Lita smiled, and looked at her watch. "Well, maybe we should eat lunch?" Faye nodded, and grabbed her bags of stuff off of the floor. She grinned. "I'm hungry. Let's go eat!" They headed down to the food court, and quickly got some food. "Hey, Lita, Faye! Whatcha doing here?" They head a voice yell. Faye turned to see Mina waving her hands at them, full of bags. She smiled, and quickly walked over to sit with them. "It's so good to see both of you. I was getting bored with no one to show these to." Faye smiled. "You knew it was me. How could you tell?" Mina giggled. "You weren't chowing down your food like Serena does. And, I guess I could just tell. You two are a lot different." Lita nodded. "I can tell them apart already, unless they're doing the switch thing, and pretending to be the other. Then it's pretty hard to tell." Faye smiled. "We try." They talked for while, laughing at Mina's purchases, but when they showed her theirs, she laughed at their obvious style differences. Then a dark shadow appeared over the food court. Faye looked up, and gasped. "Look, it's some woman!" Lita frowned. "What?" Mina smiled and looked up. Then a frown appeared on her face. "Uh-oh. Negatrash." Lita shot her gaze upward. A red-haired woman with glowing green eyes was floating above their heads. As they watched, she smiled evilly. "Time for you to find the shadow." she announced. "For I am Jade. I control the darkness." She put out her hands, palm down, towards them. Black mists began to float down towards them. Lita hissed. "Run, now. We haven't much time. Before she realizes that we're gone. We need a place to transform" Mina nodded. "I'll create a distraction. You run, transform, then distract her so I can get away." Faye frowned. "We can't do that. You have more experience. I'll distract her. We need both of you because I'm not much good until I have better control over my powers." Mina frowned, hesitated, then nodded. "You're right. We'll call the others on the communicator. Get them over to help us." Mina got up, and ran for the restroom on the other side of the court. Lita waited a moment, then whispered, "Whatever you do, I'm telling you now, do not get yourself killed. Transform in front of them if you have to." Faye nodded, her throat tight, and Lita ran. "Hey, where do you tow think you're going? I need all the dark energy I can get." Jade held her hands out, palm faced towards Lita and Mina's retreating backs. "Hey, Jade. You don't want them. Come and get me! I'm Faye, and I control, well, nothing, but I can still beat you." Jade stopped her hands. She looked mildly amused. "That's an interesting point of view." Faye raised her eyebrows in a silent challenge. "It's true. I can beat a silly little wimp like you." All around, Faye began to notice all the frightened people. A lot of them were hiding under the table, but the ones that had gotten hit with the black mist were slumped down, unconscious. She began to regret getting herself into this. Mina may have had more experience fighting, but she definitely had more experience Distracting people, and would have known not to distract anyone like Faye just had. Jade just stared at her for a second. Then she began to laugh. Hysterical bursts of laughter. She held her stomach, as she couldn't even stand up straight, she was laughing so hard. Faye gulped, and knew she had to do something. She only needed a few more seconds. "In fact, I don't think you could hurt a fly, even if you were mad." Jade stopped laughing, and stared at Faye with cold eyes. She held out her hands, palm first, and the mist began to float toward Faye. It surrounded her, engulfed her. For a moment, Faye couldn't breathe. She reached frantically out with her mind, gasped for air. She felt her feet leaving the ground as the mist lifted her to Jade. Faye spasmed, trying to break free. And suddenly a flash of light flickered on, in an instant. Faye fell to the floor, trying to figure out what was happening, but she was to busy trying to breathe that she couldn't get a thought into her panicked mind. Jade was thrown back from the light. She hit the ceiling, and cried out. "You stupid child! How did you do that? Only the child from the light can beat the darkness." Faye shuddered, and kept frantically sucking in air. She knew that her powers had come out, and that had made her much weaker. She had just lessened her time left there by a few days, maybe a week. But she knew that it had been necessary. She would be dead now, if it wasn't for her powers. Jade pushed herself back against the wall, even harder, trying to understand. "You're the light child? It isn't possible. Harden couldn't have been right. Not him! He'll be insufferable once he finds out. You're supposed to be dead." "Yeah? I don't think so. You're the one who's going to be dead." Jade snapped her head up. "Who are you?" Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus stood back to back, smiling confidently. "You hurt our friend, and now we're going to hurt you," Venus said. Jupiter nodded. "You'll be sorry you ever hurt Faye when we're done with you!" Faye crawled over to a table, and pulled herself up onto it. She took slow, even breaths, and watched her friends with worry on her face. Jade laughed. "You think you can hurt me? I'd like to see you try." Jupiter went into her position for her attack. "Jupiter Thundercloud ZAP!" A Frisbee shaped ball of lightning went zooming towards Jade. It hit her clear on, and instead of the usual lightning bolts around her, a puff of smoke appeared, covering Jade completely. Nothing could be heard, except the occasional fizzle of lightning from within the cloud. Jupiter looked a little confused. "Well, I think that got her." Venus smiled, and Faye laughed lightly. All the people had either run from the court, or were lying unconscious. Faye raised her arm to transform, but then a familiar laugh sounded their ears. "Is that all you've got? Pitiful. A little lightning might beat some people, but not me." Jupiter gasped, "No way! She can't still be here." Jade sneered. "Correction. I am still here, and there's nothing you can do about it." Venus struck. "Venus Love Chain and Circle!" The chain hit Jade, and this time no cloud appeared. She was thrown against the wall again, but lightly, not with any real force. The chain fizzled and died. Jade winced and rubbed the spot it had hit. "That was better, but not any good, I'll say, in the long run." Faye transformed. "Moon Eclipse Eternal Power!" In a flash of light, Faye was gone and Sailor Moon Eclipse was in her place. She got up, then stumbled at her weakness. She righted herself, then walked to join Jupiter and Venus. They smiled as she walked up. "Good to have you, Eclipse." "Good to be here." Jade took one look at Eclipse, and cursed softly. "It's her, definitely." Sailor Jupiter frowned. "What?" Jade ignored her. "I recognize you now, Princess Faith. In your other form, I never would have been able to tell. But now, transformed, it's fairly easy to tell." Faye did a double take. "What? How did you know I was Faith? Even I didn't know until a day or two ago. Who ARE you?" Jade smiled. "I can't fight you now, but soon you'll see me again, and I'll defeat you for good." She waved her hand, then she disappeared. It was then that Sailor Moon, Mercury, and Mars ran in. Mercury took in the scene, and the stunned looks on the faces of her friends. "What happened here?" Eclipse's brows were furrowed. "I have no idea." --------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Chapter Four --------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey all! Well, what did you think? I hope you liked it. I was thinking about what this story needs, and I realized that I have not been rating it at all. So, I'm going to say that this is maybe PG material. I don't think there is enough violence for it to be PG-13, and not enough romance, so I'm going to say PG. Please everyone e-mail me at acacia_aben@yahoo.com. Seeya! ~Acacia
